6. Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection is based on two written stages: Prelims and Mains.
Stage 1: Preliminary Exam (Screening)
- Mode: Objective (MCQs)
- Total Questions: 150 (30 General Studies + 120 Concerned Subject)
- Total Marks: 150
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Negative Marking: 0.33 (1/3 mark) deducted for wrong answers.
Stage 2: Main Exam (Written)
- Mode: Descriptive (Written)
- Total Marks: 200
- Structure: 20 Compulsory Questions (10 Short Answer + 10 Long Answer).
- Duration: 3 Hours
